The article introduces WallZero, an AlphaZero-based agent specifically designed for the strategic board game WallGo, which features a 7 x 7 board and complex gameplay dynamics. WallZero employs customized action and feature designs, achieving a performance improvement that allows it to defeat two professional Go players by securing an average of 1.98 times more territory per game. This work not only demonstrates WallZero's competitive strength but also utilizes it to analyze game fairness and strategic insights, highlighting the effectiveness of the opening strategy featured in the Netflix series.
