Incentives Of EdTech: A Systematic Review Of EduNLP Research

The paper presents a systematic review of 204 EduNLP research papers, highlighting a misalignment between stakeholder interests in educational technology development. Key findings indicate that teachers are under-represented as beneficiaries (33.3%), real-world deployment is infrequent (9.8%), and ethical considerations are often acknowledged but not acted upon. This analysis underscores the need for more responsible research practices in EduNLP to better serve educational stakeholders and address foundational infrastructure needs.
