Assessment of Personality Dimensions Across Situations in Dyadic Role-Play Scenarios
The study presents findings on automatic personality perception (APP) in dyadic role-play scenarios, highlighting that perceived personalities vary significantly across different contexts, specifically in neutral interviews versus stressful client interactions. Key technical insights include the identification of specific acoustic features—such as loudness and spectral flux—that correlate with personality traits, with handcrafted features outperforming speaker embeddings in predicting traits like extraversion and neuroticism. This research underscores the importance of context in personality perception, which could inform the design of more adaptive and context-aware AI systems in assistive technologies.
