Introducing IndQA

OpenAI has released IndQA, a benchmark designed for evaluating AI systems specifically in Indian languages, encompassing 12 languages and 10 distinct knowledge areas. Developed with input from domain experts, IndQA focuses on assessing cultural understanding and reasoning capabilities, which is critical for enhancing the performance of AI models in multilingual contexts. This benchmark provides practitioners with a standardized tool to evaluate and improve their AI systems' adaptability to diverse linguistic and cultural nuances.
