Securing the Future of IoMT in the Post-Quantum Era: An Edge-Native Federated Learning Approach
The article presents a scalable Kubernetes-based framework that integrates Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) into Federated Learning (FL) environments for Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) devices, addressing security and privacy concerns. Validation on a Raspberry Pi testbed shows that distributed cryptographic processing reduces latency while maintaining manageable resource overhead. This work is significant for practitioners as it provides a robust approach to secure IoMT systems against emerging quantum threats, paving the way for resilient and energy-efficient architectures in healthcare technology.
