LegalWorld: A Life-Cycle Interactive Environment for Legal Agents

LegalWorld is a newly announced interactive environment designed for modeling the life-cycle of Chinese civil litigation, structured as a causally connected state chain across five stages and seven sub-scenarios, utilizing a dataset of 75,309 paired judgments. It incorporates reusable infrastructure elements such as local memory and a Skill/Tool library to maintain consistency throughout the litigation process. The accompanying LongJud-Bench evaluates agent performance across all stages, revealing significant divergences in capabilities, which is crucial for practitioners developing AI systems in legal contexts to understand the complexities of legal reasoning and decision-making.
