ArabiGEE: A Hierarchical Taxonomy for Arabic Grammatical Error Explanation

ArabiGEE is introduced as the first comprehensive hierarchical taxonomy for Arabic grammatical error explanation, featuring 27 error types, 140 correction types, and 324 associated explanations across orthographic, morphological, syntactic, and lexical dimensions. This structured approach facilitates the manual annotation of existing Arabic grammatical error correction corpora and enhances the automatic evaluation of large language models (LLMs) on Arabic GEE tasks. The availability of the code and data supports practitioners in developing more effective error correction systems for Arabic language processing.
