Deep Neural Network that can turn any Image into a Playable Game! BUT LOCALLY, NOT ON DATACENTER
A new deep neural network model has been developed to convert images into playable games locally, without relying on data centers. This Transformer-like model, currently at 0.5 billion parameters, operates in a causal manner, allowing for autoregressive frame generation while processing real-time keyboard inputs. The model shows potential but has limitations, such as poor motion and context issues, with plans for an enhanced 0.8 billion parameter version and future quantization to improve performance. This advancement could enable practitioners to create interactive gaming experiences directly on consumer hardware.
