PeerMathDial: A Middle School Dialogue Dataset for Student Collaborative Math Problem Solving
PeerMathDial is a newly released dataset designed for studying collaborative problem-solving (CPS) among middle school students, comprising 55 dialogues from 27 students with a total of 6,406 turns. It includes a corpus-grounded dialogue act taxonomy developed with the assistance of large language models (LLMs) to facilitate discourse analysis. This resource is significant for practitioners as it enables the exploration of student interactions, the effects of teacher interventions, and the evaluation of LLMs in simulating student behaviors in educational contexts.
