FacProcessTwin: An LLM-Based System for Process Twin Development

FacProcessTwin is a newly introduced system that utilizes a large language model (LLM) to streamline the development of process twins, which represent entire production processes rather than isolated machines. It generates comprehensive process models from existing documentation and natural language inputs, achieving a mean F1 score of 95.2% in accuracy against ground truth while significantly reducing development time to one-sixth of manual efforts. This system is particularly valuable for practitioners as it enhances operational efficiency and safety by integrating real-time data with human oversight, effectively managing critical decision-making in complex manufacturing environments.
