ACCORD: Action-Conditioned Contextual Grounding for Language Agents

The article introduces ACCORD (Action-Conditioned Contextual Grounding), a framework designed to enhance language agents' ability to gather and integrate contextual information from their environment before executing actions. ACCORD improves task-goal completion rates significantly, achieving a +20.6 point increase on AppWorld with GPT-5-mini, and also shows consistent performance gains across other models such as Claude-4.5-sonnet and Qwen3.5-27B-FP8. This framework is important for practitioners as it enables more effective utilization of LLMs in complex environments by ensuring that agents operate based on observed context rather than assumptions, thus enhancing their adaptability and performance.
