From Task-Guided Conversational Graphs to Goal-Oriented Dialogue Runtimes

The paper introduces the Goal-Oriented Dialogue Runtime (GODR), a conceptual framework designed to enhance conversational continuity in complex, multi-domain interactions involving interdependent objectives. GODR treats goals, task frames, and lifecycle states as first-class runtime objects, enabling better management of suspended, resumed, or invalidated goals, and is intended to work alongside existing orchestration frameworks rather than replace them.
