TokaMark: A Comprehensive Benchmark for MAST Tokamak Plasma Models
TokaMark is introduced as a comprehensive benchmark for evaluating AI models on plasma dynamics using real experimental data from the Mega Ampere Spherical Tokamak (MAST). It features a curated set of 14 tasks that encompass various physical mechanisms and diagnostics, alongside a baseline model for standardized comparison. This initiative addresses the challenges of sparse and inconsistent fusion datasets, aiming to enhance reproducibility and accelerate the development of data-driven approaches in fusion energy research.
