Cognitive Trajectory Modeling: Quantifying Human-AI Co-Creation through Cognitively Grounded Interaction Trajectories
The paper introduces Cognitive Trajectory Modeling (CTM), a novel framework for understanding co-creative AI interactions by representing them as temporally organized trajectories within cognitively meaningful landscapes. CTM builds on the Enactive Model of Creativity and Creative Sense-Making, emphasizing the importance of cognitive trajectories that evolve over time and are interpretable through their directional cognitive meaning. This approach offers a more nuanced method for modeling interaction dynamics in human-AI co-creation, which is critical for developing systems that effectively engage in collaborative processes.
