Building Change Detection in Earthquake: A Multi-Scale Interaction Network and A Change Detection Dataset
The article presents the Turkey Earthquake Change Detection (TUE-CD) dataset, designed for assessing building damage shortly after earthquakes using multi-temporal remote sensing images. It introduces a novel architecture called the Multi-Scale Feature Interaction Network (MSI-Net), which includes joint cross-attention, multi-scale offset calibration, and feature integration modules to effectively handle bi-temporal feature interactions and mitigate side-looking issues. Experimental results demonstrate that MSI-Net outperforms existing state-of-the-art change detection methods, providing a crucial tool for emergency response and damage assessment in post-earthquake scenarios.
