MoCA-Agent: A Market-of-Claims Code Agent for Financial and Numerical Reasoning

The article introduces MOCA-Agent, a novel code agent designed for financial and numerical reasoning that employs a market-of-claims methodology for claim-level verification. Utilizing a fixed Qwen3.6-27B backbone, MOCA-Agent demonstrates robust performance on various benchmarks, achieving scores of 78.3% on FinQA and 86.9% on ESGenius, among others. This approach enhances the reliability of numerical reasoning by decomposing questions into atomic claims, allowing for more precise verification and error correction, which is critical for practitioners in high-stakes financial contexts.
