HandwritingAgent: Language-Driven Handwriting Synthesis in Scalable Vector Space

HandwritingAgent is a novel language-driven agent for handwriting synthesis that generates natural handwriting sequences in Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format without requiring style-specific training. It utilizes a large reasoning model to analyze geometry and autoregressively produce stroke sequences based on provided text and reference handwriting images. This approach demonstrates significant performance improvements across various handwriting tasks, including imitation and multilingual synthesis, while offering enhanced control and generalization compared to existing generative handwriting models, making it a valuable tool for practitioners in the field.
